Site Assessment
For larger or commercial installations, our team will conduct a brief site assessment to confirm placement, pipe runs, and electrical requirements.
Schedule a Date
Once payment is confirmed, we'll contact you to schedule a convenient installation date — typically within 2–5 business days.
Professional Installation
Our certified technicians arrive on time, complete the installation to manufacturer specifications, and clean up before leaving.
Commissioning & Handover
We test the system thoroughly, walk you through operation, and hand over all documentation including the warranty card.

Common questions about our installation service.
Do I need to be present during installation?
Yes, an adult (18+) must be present on site for the duration of the installation. They must have access to the electrical distribution board and be able to make decisions about pipe routing and unit placement.
What is included in the standard installation?
Standard installation includes mounting the indoor and outdoor units, connecting the refrigerant pipe (up to 3 metres), electrical wiring to the nearest suitable circuit, drain line installation, and full commissioning. Additional pipe length, trunking, and electrical work are quoted separately.
Do you install units purchased elsewhere?
In most cases, yes. Contact us with the make, model, and your location and we'll provide a quote. Note that warranty support may differ for units not purchased through HVAC Direct.
Can you install in Cape Town, Durban, or other provinces?
Our own installation teams currently cover Gauteng. For other provinces, we work with a network of accredited installation partners. Contact us and we'll connect you with a vetted installer in your area.
How long does a standard split unit installation take?
A standard single split unit installation typically takes 2–4 hours. Multi-split systems, cassette units, or installations requiring extensive pipe runs may take longer.
Is a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) included?
A CoC can be provided on request for an additional fee. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require one — this is common for rental properties and commercial premises.
